we learn together
RCT provides a hybrid model with in‑person and online learning so that students can participate in either way - or a mix of both. It keeps the best parts of classroom learning and the best parts of online flexibility. Staff work across a range of areas including teaching and learning support, therefore there is limited phone administration. Students are welcome to access online resources. For educational queries, please email us or contact your nearest Mental Health Hub and we'll respond as soon as reasonably possible.
mental health hubs
Department of Health, Statewide Mental Health Services is growing integrated mental health care through Mental Health Hubs across Tasmania. The Peacock Centre in North Hobart is the first of its kind and provides RCT learning sessions as part of its integrated services. Offering sessions to guests of Peacock House and the broader community. RCT will operate across future sites (currently under development) including Launceston General Hospital Precinct, Devonport Mental Health Hub and St Johns Park.
online portal
RCT opened in November 2022 providing free in-person mental health education in the southern region of Tasmania. The NEW online portal is here, aiming to provide statewide education services to community. Individuals experiencing mental health challenges can view resources, enrol to become a student of RCT and register to attend free learning sessions. Online access to mental health education also provides equity and connection to our regional students.
recovery education and curriculum
An exciting new education initiative designed to encourage collaboration and growth across our vibrant communities. Drawing from the invaluable insights and feedback gathered during our Co-discovery Workshops in Hobart, Devonport, Launceston, and Burnie, we have developed this portal to offer learning sessions to address the unique needs of each area.
